Arus

Arus was a Nemedian priest whom traveled into the Pictish Wilderness to teach the gospel of Mitra. To convince the savage barbarians, Arus told them about the vast richness of the great civilizations of the Aquilonia, Ophir, Nemedia, Brythunia, Corinthia, and even Zingara. He also taught them how to find, smelt and create implements of iron including weapons.

Unfortunately, the barbarians were not interested in the teachings of the God, but listened to Arus's lessons on civilization and technology. This resulted in the barbarians reinforcing their weapons with iron and invading the lands to the east.
