N[]
An acronym for need. Used to tell the group that you need an item that has dropped, as opposed to Greed.
NDA[]
An acronym for non-disclosure agreement, also called a confidential disclosure agreement (CDA), confidentiality agreement or secrecy agreement, is a legal contract between at least two parties which outlines confidential materials or knowledge the parties wish to share with one another for certain purposes, but wish to restrict from generalized use. In other words, it is a contract through which the parties agree not to disclose information covered by the agreement.
A NDA is usually signed when you gain access to a closed beta, where the company that creates the game doesn't want the knowledge you gain about the game during beta to be released to the public.
Necro[]
Short for the player class Necromancer in Age of Conan.
Need[]
A loot option letting your teammates know that your character Needs an item, as opposed to Greed which merely lets them know you'd like to have that item for your character.
Newbie[]
Somebody who is new to the game and thus, inexperienced. Not to be confused with noob.
Ninja[]
The term Ninja is often used in MMOs as short for ninja looter, a player that takes dropped items without permission from the rest of the group.

No Trade[]
An item that, upon looting, is untradeable.
Noob[]
An insult for somebody who doesn't know what they're doing, or who is acting foolishly, or is being an annoyance, or is utterly a disturbance in the game. Not to be confused with newbie. A more severe form is the NoobTard, an inexperienced and obstinate player who knows not, knows not that they know not, and won't listen to what anyone says, but complains and/or causes a scene.
NPC[]
An abbreviation for Non-Player Combatant/Character. MMOs usually contain many NPCs that have different functions, such as giving out quests and rewards. These are objects that resemble Humans, or any of the races in the desired game. They usually can talk to you, and interact in one way or another.
