Cariste has told me his tale of escaping Corvo one step ahead of the Nemedian army. He also mentioned the witch Zelata, who is apparently not involved in the sorcery behind the Dark Beasts.

Governor Myrtilos of Tesso has asked me to seek out the witch-woman, Zelata. He is certain that she has information about recent events but he has warned me that she does not take kindly to the locals, though he refused to elucidate why. She makes her home in a cave to the east.

Zelata was unimpressed by the Governor's request for help. She told me to return to him and give him the message 'I remember'. There is obviously some past resentment between them.

Governor Myrtilos has given me a sealed letter to deliver to Zelata. He wouldn't tell me what it contained, but he obviously hopes that it will change her mind about helping him. I should deliver it to her in her cave, to the east.
