Mithrelle is furious that Strom now manages to defy her control, despite branding him with the Mark of Acheron. Strom recently visited some Atlantean ruins on the White Sands Isle with a crewmember named Renton. Mithrelle wants me to visit Renton and find out what happened during that trip. She told me I can find the drunkard in the back alley behind the Rum 'n Rumble.

Renton told me that Strom has found an amulet under a waterfall in the Atlantean cave. Strom's behavior changed dramatically when he put the necklace on. He has now hired the scribe Bartholomo to look into the amulet's past. I must tell Mithrelle what I've learned. She's currently in the Barrack's Square.

Mithrelle is furious that Strom has found the Phoenix Medallion. By wearing it, Mithrelle cannot control Strom through the Mark of Acheron. She wants me to go back and kill Renton as a warning to Strom. I should look for him in his house by the harbor, close to the Rum 'n Rumble.

Cramaleico asked me to investigate the connection between Mithrelle and Strom. Mithrelle told me that Strom has found a way to defy her will. When I questioned a sailor named Renton he told me that Strom had found an ancient medallion on a remote part of White Sands Isle. This 'Phoenix Medallion' seems to be the source of Strom's defiance. Mithrelle later ordered me to kill Renton as a warning to Strom, but before I could reach him Strom had sent his own killers, led by a man named Quesado, to kill Renton for spilling the captain's secrets. After delivering this news to Cramaleico, I was introduced to Valeria, the pirate queen of Tortage!
