History[]
From Age of Conan:
- To live in the noble district of one of Hyboria's most prosperous cities is to be one of the wealthy few with the right to stand among the court of King Conan. Great villas rise above the commoners' buildings: idyllic retreats for the rich families of Tarantia. This is where the city's true wealth is gathered. Beyond the simple strength of his armies and the loyalty of the Black Dragons, support from these nobles is what keeps Conan the Cimmerian on the Aquilonian throne.
Tarantia's Nobles District is where the various nobles of Old Tarantia reside. It also houses the barracks for King Conan’s elite Black Dragon Guards. King Conan himself resides in his castle a short distance away from this area. Recently, the Noble District has been under siege from attacks by raiders from Nemedia, and many villas of the nobles have been ransacked. There is also a rumour that necromancy is afoot, and that the undead have been seen rising from the local mausoleum. With many of the City Guards slain, and most of the Black Dragon Guards incapacitated, Aquilonian defenders struggle to keep the area from falling into enemy hands.
